Battery Logic MK III - What is it?
BATTERY LOGIC MK III is a microprocessor-based self contained automatic charge controller
that is easily installed into nearly every industrial lead-acid battery charger having
characteristics approximating modified constant potential design. It constantly monitors
voltage and time and by observing relationships between the two during recharge calculates
an optimum total charging time. When this time has elapsed, it turns the charger
off.

How It Does It Work?
By taking the human element out of charging. With timer charger controls, your power
bills, battery maintenance costs, and battery life are at the mercy of the charger
operator. His setting of the timer governs these costs. Even if he follows instructions,
wasted power is inevitable since shallowly discharge batteries will be overcharged.
With BATTERY LOGIC the operator plugs battery into charger and the MKIII turns the
charger on and at optimal recharge turns it off. In simplest terms, that’s it!.

What’s Different About it?
BATTERY LOGIC MK III is unusual because it can be installed so easily and used so
universally. Easy to install because only four wires must be connected - two to sense
charger voltage and two to provide switching in the coil circuit of the charger’s
main AC contactor. Easy (and less expensive) because no additional relay or transformers
need to be added to make it work. Universal since one simple switch setting allows
it to use 6,12,18 or 24 cell chargers and because MK III can safely handle the switching
of any AC contactor coil circuit from 24 to 480 volts with a coil current of up to
800 milliamperes.
