Industrial Storage Batteries:

Lead-acid, for floating or cycle service, both flooded and valve regulated, in lead-calcium and lead-antimony grid alloys, ranging in size from a few to 4,000 ampere-hours and providing anticipated service lives of from five to 30 years. Nickel-cadmium, in flooded only, for floating and cycle service, from ten to 500 ampere-hours. A complete line of battery racks meeting most seismic requirements. All manner of battery safety equipment including everything from hydrogen detectors to electrolyte barriers.

 

Industrial Power Conversion Equipment:

Southwestern Battery Supply sells and services all types of battery charging rectifiers, suitable for float or cycle service,  for voltages ranging from 12 to 240 volts and amperages from three to 1,600. A  full line of all types of DC power  boards and load controls, as well as distribution equipment, with many configured for relay rack mounting. We also handle DC to DC converters and DC to AC inverters, primarily for telecom use,  uninterruptible power supplies with ratings of from three to 50 kilowatts.  Monitoring equipment for remote data gathering and alarming of site problems.

 

Specialty Items We Manufacture:

Flexible battery cables with a wide variety of cast lead terminals for Motive and Standby Batteries: ranging in size from #2 to #4/0.  Lead plated copper Inter cell Connectors and Terminal Plates for Standby Batteries. Almost any type of flexible cable from #6 AWG to 350 MCM with cast lead or compression type lug(s), Copper Lead or Tin plated.  Custom designed copper ground bar assemblies as well as Copper Buss assemblies for mounting in relay racks, overhead or in Buss Duct. Custom circuit breaker panels, Battery Room Safety Kits,  poly carbonate or PVC protective covers for battery terminals and control panels, and the first name in Industrial Battery Charger automatic controllers, the sophisticated and reliable BATTERY LOGIC™ line of microprocessor-based charger controllers.

Southwestern Battery also manufactures sells and installs, its own patented Poly carbonate enclosed DC Buss Duct System, with capacity ratings up to 10,000 amps. This system has been tested by an independent outside company using Computational Fluid Dynamics or CFD, to insure it maintains its rated amperage capacity and specified voltage drop. The system is U.L. Listed, insuring the safe and reliable transfer of your DC Power.
